EU Association Agreement for Increasing Competitiveness of SMEs in Georgia

Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC), in partnership with “Enterprise Georgia” (EG) started implementation of a new project on “EU Association AGreement for Increasing Competitiveness of SMEs in Georgia”, which is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) in Georgia.
The aim of the 3-year project which, started in November 2018 is to increase domestic and international competitiveness of Georgian SMEs through identification and promotion of new sectors, increasing their skills and capacity, providing assistance in implementing EU’s AA and DCFTA requirements.
Some of the main activities planned within the project include:
  • Market research and sector analysis;
  • Study tours for Georgian SMEs in Sweden and EU countries to learn more about their experiences;
  • Workshops, masterclasses, individual consultations and trainings organized for Georgian SMEs in order to support companies expand into international markets;
  • Market fairs organized for at least 500 SME representatives from all over Georgia during the project;
  • Partnership with media representatives for increased coverage and visibility of the project activities;
  • Capacity building support to Enterprise Georgia’s export direction.
