Economic Dependency Index

The objective of the project is to create “economic dependency index” and the platform, which will show convincingly and simply how much Georgia “depends” on specific groups of countries aggregated as “democratic” through “authoritarian.” Dependency can be understood as a degree of integration to these groups of countries through the channels such as external trade and movement of other capital.

The project has two interrelated objectives: On the one hand, the project aims to better analyze and comprehend possible threats to the economic integrity; and on the other, to inform policymaking and enhance discussions on the level of possible threats to economic security.
