The Fight for Freedom: From the Baltic to the Black Sea – The Book Launch
On November 14, at 20:00 the Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC) and the Eastern European Center for Multiparty Democracy (EECMD) cordially invites you to the book launch “The Fight for Freedom: From the Baltic to the Black Sea”. The presentation will be held at Writer’s House of Georgia.

The purpose of this book is to provide a new understanding of the lessons of history and based on the experiences of Russia’s small neighboring nations, answer the following questions: what is freedom anyway? Where does it come from and how does it manifest itself? What does freedom have to do with national interests or values?

The collection presents the unique experience of the struggle for freedom as seen by Georgian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian authors. The authors’ interpretations allow for an analysis of the difficulties and challenges of the centuries-old struggle for freedom of these peoples, accompanies by Russia’s policy of suppressing the national identity of its neighbors.

The aim of the book is to make the reader reflect on the extent to which the past, present, and therefore future of these countries are related to each other.
