On 3^rd of June, the Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC) hosted the discussion “Foreign and Security Policy”, organized in the frames of the civil society campaign “Take Step Towards Europe”.

The honorable speakers at the discussion were:

• H.E. Mrs. Riina Kalijurand, Ambassador of Estonia to Georgia;
• H.E. Mr. Diego Colas, Ambassador of France to Georgia;
• H.E. Mr. Ulrik Tidestrom, Ambassador of Sweden to Georgia;
• Ivane Chkhikvadze, Head of the Program in the Open Society Georgia Foundation;
• Shota Utiashvili, Senior Fellow at Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies;

Discussion was moderated by Ambassador Gigi Gigiadze, Senior Fellow at the EPRC.

The speakers will addressed the upcoming opinion by the European Commission on the possible extension of the candidacy status to Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine; Georgia – EU relations as well as current foreign and security policy challenges in the region.

The representatives of public, civil society actors, the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia and the media attended the meeting.
