19 years ago, young professionals founded the Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC), an organization that aims to promote democracy, good governance, evidence-based economic solutions, and innovative research approaches in the country.
EPRC unites people who fight for democratic values and spread sound economic initiatives. EPRC’s team proves that civil society plays an important role in the decision-making processes – decisions, which are crucial for Euro-Atlantic integration and achieving prosperity, justice, and freedom.
Within a few years of establishment, EPRC has become a platform that unites Georgian opinion-makers and international thinkers, economic and political experts, activists, and non-governmental organizations, and many more; EPRC has created a ground for sharing ideas and experiences. The organization annually brings world-class experts to Georgia.
Today, EPRC is an objective, reliable, and non-partisan source on economic, financial, security, and social policy issues.
Many of the initiatives undertaken by the EPRC team in recent years have become flagship initiatives – the Leadership Academy for Development (LAD), created in partnership with Stanford University CDDRL has more than 120 alumni; The annual Tbilisi International Conference, which brings together world-known leaders, security experts, and analysts in Tbilisi;
During the pandemic, EPRC has created platforms for experts on health, economic, social, and education issues, to assist the authorities in overcoming the effects of the pandemic and offer qualified recommendations; EPRC has worked with and for women entrepreneurs, the organization continues to implement the project “Georgian Business Close to Europe – GEclose2EU”, which aims to help Georgian business to integrate into the EU market, etc.
The Fukuyama Democracy Frontline Center which is a brainchild of EPRC is actively involved in educational activities, including the publication and free distribution of The American Interest – the first and only foreign publication, Georgian translations of the books written by Francis Fukuyama, David Kramer, John McCain, Larry Diamond, and others.
Economic Policy Research Center continues to work on the recommendations necessary for the development of effective economic initiatives, and EPRC’s team will offer you many interesting projects and publications in the future!
