EPRC Turned 20 Today!
EPRC turns 20 today.
It is a delicate age – time to understand what has been achieved, to reflect on what has been done, and to formulate new plans and strategies.
The history of our organization covers a large part of the history of modern independent Georgia – 2002-2022, years full of changes, successes and setbacks, achievements and contradictions. Years when, together with the Georgian society, we fought and still fight for freedom, democracy and a better Georgia.
More than 90 international projects implemented in this 20-year history; tens of thousands of beneficiaries and hundreds of partners in Georgia and abroad; our flagship projects that have become trademarks of the vibrant Georgian civil society – Tbilisi International Conference, Fukuyama Democracy Frontline Centre, LAD (Stanford Leadership Academy for Development), with more than 150 graduate leaders from Georgia and all over the world) ; GEclose2EU – projects aimed at bringing Georgian companies closer to the European market (More than 1,000 Georgian companies have entered local and international markets through this initiative.); WomenPOWER – new opportunities for women’s economic empowerment; My Europe – for teachers and students; Through our publishing program, thousands of Georgian readers have the opportunity to read The American Interest/Purpose magazines, translations of outstanding works by the world’s most prominent thinkers etc. etc.
This is how we got here – 20 years of commitment to values and principles, constant research and mastering new dimensions. We continue to fight for democracy, Euro-Atlantic integration, and freedom. We know and believe that this is only the beginning and that we have a long and exciting road ahead of us.
We congratulate and thank all those who have been part of the development of our organization over the past 20 years!
