Today, on August 25, Economic Policy Research Center honors the memory of Arizona’s six-time senator and a great friend of Georgia John McCain.
The two-time presidential candidate was an exceptional politician, who considered Georgia to be the friend and strategic partner of the U.S. He was openly supporting Georgia and criticizing Russia.
In 2017, John McCain visited Georgia and traveled to the village Khurvaleti near the administrative boundary line separating the occupied breakway region of Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) from Georgian-controlled territory. During this visit, McCain said that the U.S. “will continue to do everything we can to support the total independence and freedom, and territorial integrity of the country of Georgia”.
EPRC, in a partnership with the McCain Institute for International Leadership, hosts the annual Tbilisi International Conference. In honor of John McCain, EPRC translated and published his latest book “The Restless Wave”.
