She co-authored the book \u201cCross-border Cooperation of Ukraine in the Context of European Integration\u201d (2014). Her academic background includes a master\u2019s degree in international economic relations and PhD in economics. Valentyna\u2019s academic training and work experience have included both domestic and international perspectives on research and implementation of public services and local policy reform.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2006 she works in a research team of Norwegian-Ukrainian projects devoted to analysis and assessment of local government policy (\u201cLocal government reform in Ukraine\u201d (2012-2015), \u201cLocal government reform in Ukraine: Program for capacity building and research-policy dialogue\u201d (2008-2009). The projects are joint initiative of the partner organizations \u2013 the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS), the Association of Ukrainian Cities (AUC), the Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research (NIBR). Besides, she is active in a Lviv-based NGO Center for Social and Economic Research \u201cInitiative\u201d. Currently Valentyna Zasadko is senior researcher at Regional Branch of National Institute for Strategic Studies in Lviv.
