Shio Khetsuriani joined Public Service Development Agency (PSDA) of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia as a Chairman in September 2014. Since then he is working to improve public services throughout the country. As the Chairman of the agency, Shio is managing and overseeing the work of the civil registry, responsible for the issuance of ID cards, passports, civil certificates, residence permits; implementation of e-Governance in Georgian municipalities; development of Community Centers, ensuring access to more than 200 public and private services for the local population; activities of the in-house Innovative Service Lab that generates new ideas to design and deliver improved services for the citizens and different state and public entities; Overall, Shio supervises around 1300 employees of the agency across 75 territorial offices in Georgia.<\/p>\n
Before moving to the PSDA, Shio worked at the Bank Republic, Societe Generale and at the Consulate General of Georgia in New York. Shio\u2019s diverse professional experience is backed up by the Masters\u2019 Degree in Banking from the Georgian Technical University, along with the Masters\u2019 of Science Degree in Finance from Baruch College, City University of New York, United States. Over the past few years Shio has focused on public sector issues \u2013 attracting potential investors to Georgia; creating and developing public services, by increasing their accessibility, particularly in the rural parts of Georgia; improving Georgian travel document security and personal data protection, coupled with coordination of migration management processes in the Country and oversight over the implementation of the EU-Georgia Visa Liberalization Action Plan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":14031,"template":"","years_alumni":[267],"class_list":["post-14030","alumni_post_type","type-alumni_post_type","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","years_alumni-2016-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
