Lucila Crexell is a National Senator of Argentina and was elected by the people of the province of Neuqu\u00e9n in 2013. She is a member of the General Law, Environment and Sustainable Development, Foreign Affairs Committees, in addition to other committees. Crexell was brought up in a political family that played a leading role in Neuquen’s institutional history. She has two decades of experience working in different areas of the public administration, both in national and local level. As a senator, she represents the province of Neuqu\u00e9n before the Federal Government and defends the decentralization of power and the protection of provincial autonomy. As regards her parliamentary labor, she has been the author of bills related to environment, education, regional economies, tourism and foreign service.<\/p>\n
Also, as a National Senator she is part of the Argentine Delegation in the InterParliamentary Union (IPU). At the same time, she integrates the Argentine Delegation in the Latin American Parliament (PARLATINO), where, as a member of the Environment and Tourism Commission, it promoted the approval of the Framework Law for the categorization of Protected Areas. Within Parlatino she is currently a member of the Commission on Human Rights, Justice and Prison Policies. In another order, it should be noted that, as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the Argentinian Senate, Crexell chairs the Argentine Delegation of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Crexell studied Public Relations and a Bachelor in Law in the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), and she is currently finishing Politics and International Relations.
