Capacity Building and Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs

The purpose of the project is to empower and increase capacity of the women entrepreneurs in the ethnic minority regions of Georgia in order to increase their financial independence and ensure their full participation in economic life.
The project activities are divided into three components: Training, provision of seed funding and monitoring of the project participants by EPRC staff.
Within the first component 4 trainings for at least 50 self-employed/micro business owner women in ethnic minority regions on the topics of entrepreneurship and business start-ups will be delivered. Within the scope of the project, seed funding up to 1000 GEL will be granted to up to 10 women entrepreneurs, based on the quality and feasibility of the business plan that they provide. After receiving the seed funding, project entrepreneurs will have opportunity to be monitored and consulted by the EPRC team in planning their future activities and applying for additional funding from other sources.
