“What Weakens Democracy?” – Listen to the Podcast Series “The World Upside Down”
“What Weakens Democracy?” – Listen to Stanford University Professor Larry Diamond in the third episode of the podcast series “The World Upside Down”.

In the episode, Larry Diamond discusses the controversies around the Democracy Summit hosted by the Biden Administration and talks about the institutional reforms necessary for the establishment of democratic institutions.

“More the democracies hollowed out, more it is uninspiring to people and leads them to doubt its worth and authenticity. If they feel that it is not authentic, that their vote does not really count and they are just manipulated by extremely powerful oligarchical forces, then they become cynical and detached from the political processes”.

The anchors are Nino Evgenidze, the Executive Director of EPRC, and Nino Gelashvili, LAD Georgia alumni.
