In the period of 4-8 February 2020, with the support of the Swedish Government, Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC) in partnership with the Agency Enterprise Georgia organized a study tour in the framework of the project “Georgian Business Closer to Europe”/ GEclose2EU.
The study tour to Stockholm is arranged for 23 beneficiary companies, representing architecture and design sector. The tour is organized in the period of the Stockholm Design Week, which is one of the important event in the architecture and design field and is conducted twice a year. This year, for the first time the leading Georgian architecture and design companies will have the chance to participate in the Stockholm Design Week and engage in direct communication with the sector’s leading companies.
Moreover, in the frames of the study tour working meetings are planned with the leading Swedish companies. The tour encompasses visits to the following organizations: Svensk Form, Kontsfack, Wingårdhs, Nivå, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. The participants will also visit Stockholm ecological region, World’s leading district in sustainable urban development. In addition, participants and organizers will actively engage in side events organized in the course of the Stockholm Design Week.
On the first stage, GEclose2EU project arranged a study tours for the beneficiary companies representing architecture and design sector, which were selected through the call announced last year. On the next stage, the study tour will be organized for other beneficiary companies from business consultancy and ITC sectors. In total 60 companies will participate in the study tour. The selected companies already received technical assistance, which was envisaged by the project. Also, periodic meetings are organized to be in active communication with the beneficiary companies. In the upcoming future, trainings and master-classes are planned as well.
