Retention of anti-Western propaganda by enhancing education on economic aspects of Euro-Atlantic integration
“Retention of anti-Western propaganda by enhancing education on economic aspects of Euro-Atlantic integration” – is a topic of training conducted by the Economic Policy Research Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Education on November 18 in Telavi.
The following issues were discussed at the training:
  • Economic indicators of the EU; GDP, average income, social welfare mechanisms, market size, new market relations, main documents of economic regulation; assosiation agreement with the EU, DCFTA, its economic perspective and benefits for Georgia (liabilities and benefits, trade and its structure, regulations and their effects for the public; FDI,); Eastern European countries and European integration – economic effect of NATO membership for the baltic states; EU membership and its consequences (Poland, Romania, Hungary);
  • Values, interests and security;
  • Information war as tool for hybrid warfare: how influential can disinformation be for Georgia and all of us;
  • Economic myths, their identification and response mechanisms.
The project is supported by the US Embassy Small Grants Program, comprising four cities (Batumi, Rustavi, Akhaltsikhe, Telavi) and is intended for public schools, civic education teachers. 
The next training is planned on December 9, in Batumi.
