Former President of “Shell Oil” Company on Sustainable Energy

The East- West Management Institute (G-PAC), Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC) and the Arizona State University Global Institute of Sustainability co-organized a discussion featuring a former president of Shell Oil company and distinguished sustainability scholar.

The meeting addressed the major challenges facing the energy sector, both globally and in Georgia. Mr. Hofmeister discussed how to plan energy projects to consider the country’s economic interests without compromising citizens’ social interests and needs; special emphasis was placed on shaping investment attraction strategies.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Oil and Gas Corporation of Georgia, energy sector business representatives, local and international experts.
