Survival, Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Caucasus

On May 23rd at Rooms Hotel Tbilisi, the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC) in cooperation with Fribourg University, Tbilisi State University and Goethe University of Frankfurt held a one day conference – Survival, Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Caucasus. This one day conference organized by a consortium of Georgia, German and Swiss institutions, took stock of research into the diversity of entrepreneurship in the Caucasus to consider how policy instruments can support these diverse businesses to thrive. 

As part of the conference presentation of the research paper – Survival(ship) and Entrepreneurship – Empirical Evidence from Georgia and Armenia took place. This paper is a consolidated analysis of the results of two research projects –the Emergence and Evolution of Entrepreneurship in Georgia and the Emergence and Evolution of Entrepreneurship in Armenia - which examined self-employed, micro and small entrepreneurs in two post-Soviet economies through survey data.
